Two weeks ago we looked into God’s Word as to what it means to have a broken will. I said that revival is just the LIFE OF THE LORD JESUS poured into human hearts. However, HIS life can only be released in OUR life in all its fullness when our wills are broken so that HIS WILL can REIGN in us. We must do His will, not ours. Only then can He truly show Himself through us. Our own self must GIVE UP ITS RIGHTS.
God cannot do a great work in the lives of those who are ruled by self.
Until our selfish spirit has been broken and crucified, the fruit of the Holy Spirit cannot be seen in our lives.
God shows us the need to be broken, but we must choose. We must be willing for God to show us the truth about ourselves. The man who knows, day by day, the meaning of brokenness is the man who humbly agrees to what God shows him about himself.
This is something we need to do every moment of our lives. Read more…
